Feldgendarmerie Collar Gorget
Regulation Feldgendarmerie gorget, standard issue for Heer, SS and Luftwaffe. Complete with neck chain (original length). Made by the famous maker "Assmann" , hence the "A" marking on one of back's tabs. Reich eagle and feldgendarmerie word on front with two buttons (some missing paint on one) painted with night glowing paint. Feldgrau green felt lining on reverse (also exists with cardboard instead of felt). These can be seen on many period pics, even on Luftwaffe paratroopers as can be seen on colonel Von der Heydte's 6th regiment pics in Normandy on summer 44. Scarce item, especially as most examples sold on the market have long been repros and fakes.
